From Phillip -
"This year I am working with Dr. DK Lee on his hemp grain/fiber breeding program. His research has focused on crossing feral hemp lines with high cannabinoid hemp to develop a dual-purpose hemp line.
His field trials were successful last year and now he wants to grow these lines out for seed production. This requires a buffer zone of a mile or so, but will allow us to increase seed quantities to conduct variety trials next year. One step closer to developing in Illinois hemp line.
Dr. Lee is looking for growers who are willing to try one of these lines (~ 1 acre) on their farm. Dr. Lee would require the grain be harvested and returned to him, but the fiber is left for the grower. Dr. Lee would be available to help during harvest and can pick up the harvested seed as well."
