Follow-up to the Specialty Ag Summit

We've had a fantastic outpouring of support from everyone involved and attending the presentation and I would like to personally thank each and every person who has reached out to us. We had many people immediately subscribe to our mailing list during our presentation and as of the time of this writing, we are still getting more subscribers. We are so grateful for the response we've had and it's inspiring to know there are so many wonderful people who care about hemp!

We'd like to take this opportunity to encourage everyone to participate with us in submitting public comments to the Illinois Department of Agriculture. This is also a good time to get in touch with your state representatives and tell them to support us at the public hearing scheduled for February 5th, 2019.

Here is a handy tool to use if you need to find the contact information for your specific representative. Just enter your address or click on your district to find what you need.

We have a follow up presentation and license workshop scheduled for February 9th.

There is no one else offering this kind of hands on help and assistance to small farmers and entrepreneurs.

The event is co-hosted by your IL Small Business Development Center at Sauk Valley Community College. We encourage all Hemp Growers to sign up with your local IL-SBDC to receive no-cost consulting as you continue to navigate through the growing season and selling of your crop after harvest. The SBDC can help you prepare budgets and estimates of expected income to be derived from your Hemp operations.

If you haven't already, please create a membership account on our website to participate on our forum and comment on our blog posts. After you create your account, read our forum post containing the public comments we submitted to the Illinois Department of Agriculture and feel free to join in on the discussion.
